Have you ever left your phone at home and found that you need an important contact from it. Well now you can retrieve any contact from your phone via SMS from any other phone. The phone you send the text from needs no special features. It doesn't even have to be an Android phone. It just has to be able to send a text message.
Instructions: Start the app. Add a password and click save. Click the 'Start SMS Listener' button. You can exit the app and it will run in the background waiting for your text message.
To retrieve a contact Text: your password followed by the contact you want to your phone. Example: mysecretpword joe bloggs
Wildcards: You can use % as a wildcard and the end of the message is always wildcarded. For example: mysecretpword jo%blo will return the details of joe bloggs. Please be careful using the wildcard character as it may return several contacts.
SMS Limitations: SMS messages have a maximum size of 160 characters. If your contact has a lot of info in it >160 characters, the app will split the message up into 2 or more text messages which will be reconstructed into a single message by the receiving phone.
Security: If you borrow someone else's phone to collect your contacts be sure to delete the sent message so that they cannot see your password.
